Agree with your comments re: Tony Blair - personally not interested as to when he resigns, just a bit concerned about Mr Charisma a.k.a. Gordon Brown - I suspect that after a term of his calvinist, joyless, moneygrubbing, we'll welcome phoney tony back with open arms.

And I personally didn't vote for him! but regrettably I live in a Tory safe seat where a donkey with a blue rosette would be voted in, thus any vote for another party is a waste of time.

Roll on proportional representation!

Woo hoo, my first post to break 100 views! Glad to have struck a chord with some of you.

As a postscript, the PM's statement this afternoon didn't set a departure date after all. Nor should it have. Onward.

Real good, James. I'm blogging for a bit over a month, I think, and have been feeling pretty much the same about the community. I now feel immerse in a new communication atmosphere and conscious of what I was missing, which, frankly, is quite scary. Been enjoying very much everybody's blogs and already feel some difference in the amount of posts and their quality. Is it just my impression, or are things evolving?

Interesting post, James, and delighted that my site is linked under the word 'neutral'. It must prove that I'm being even-handedly wicked, though it often doesn't feel that way. :) Keep up the good work.

Great post, James. Don't you get the feeling that all the "leadership struggle" attention is being driven by a handful of media, rather than the party itself?

What a great post! It's also a reminder of the similar experiences and feelings we share as new bloggers. Keep it up. I look forward to reading more.
